Ilan is an international branding guru, a world traveler and keen observer who consults, teaches, practices and implements all brand touchpoints. He was Design Head and Creative Director at Ogilvy & Mather, Leo Burnett, Frankel & Co., and various other agencies. He currently runs Ilan Geva & Friends, a branding consultancy in Chicago, and spent time living in Tel-Aviv, Jerusalem, Paris, Johannesburg, Los Angeles, Des Moines and Minneapolis. His journeys took him to 45 countries, and 650 cities.

He develops and creates Brand platforms including brand vision/mission, brand strategy, brand personality, using every imaginable strategic branding solution for Fortune 100 brands and neighborhood brands. His work has won well over 100 awards around the world, and his articles have been published in many forums. Ilan is invited to speak in many industry conferences and to judge industry competitions. Ilan has a BFA from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem and a MA degree from DePaul University in Chicago. He is a graduate of the Damelin College of Marketing in Johannesburg with a diploma in Marketing Management.

He teaches Branding at the University of Chicago, and other marketing classes at DePaul University. He also taught and lectured at Kendall College, Columbia College Chicago, Roosevelt University, the School of The Art Institute of Chicago, and traveled as far as Dubai and India to teach MBA students.

In 2006, Ilan was the recipient of the Excellence in Teaching Award from the University of Chicago. In 2007 Ilan was selected a faculty member of the In-Store Marketing Institute. In 2011 Ilan was awarded the distinguished professional educator award at The Kellstadt Marketing Center of DePaul University.
